With the exception of attending a friend's wedding a few year's ago in North Carolina, I'm sad to say that I haven't been on a real family vacation since 2001, and that was my honeymoon. Unfortunately, it just seems like there is never enough money to go anywhere (even for a short weekend getaway).
My favorite vacations are the ones when nothing is really planned ... the relaxing vacations spent digging my toes in the sand and reading a great book on the beach.

One of my life-long goals is to visit every state. I think I've visited about 20 so far. I think renting an RV and going cross-country would be a lot of fun. Don't you think?
