here's what's new

i is for iPhone ...

I didn't really think that there would be much of a change from going from an iPod Touch to an iPhone.  Boy was I wrong!  I think the biggest change is the fact that I have access 24/7 no matter where I am.

For my A to Z challenge post for letter "i," I'm going to list some favorite apps I found for the iPhone.

• As I said before ... Instagram (love the filters).  I took the picture below and played with all the different filters and other effects in the app and this is what I came up with.

 

• 8mm - This app allows you to record video as if you are watching an old film.  Nicholas has had a lot of fun with this one.
• Old Photo Pro - This app allows you to make your photos have a vintage look.
• Vingo - This app allows you to say the name of a place you are looking to find a phone number for and it will locate the number for you ... even let you call from your phone.
• Shazam- This app allows you to record bits of a song from the radio, etc., and tell you the name of the song and artist.  I know that I've mentioned this app before, but I wasn't able to use it until now since I didn't have a microphone on my iPod Touch.

Again, I'm always looking for new apps, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know.

not a happy camper ...

Trying to get a hair clip to stay in Rebecca's hair is a hard thing to do.  Let me show you what happens when I attempt to put the clip in her hair and tell her to leave it in.

 
 
Nope, she is not a happy camper.  Right after this picture was taken, she pulled the clip right out of her hair.  I'm going to try and put little rubber-bands in her hair this week ... I'll let you know how that works out.

If you have been following my attempt to participate in the Project 64: Out of Box challenge, last week's color was SCARLET.

 
So, the first items I saw while I was sitting in my kitchen the other day were some of my Longaberger baskets ... their liners reminded me of the color scarlet.

This week's color will be fun ... it is "Tickle Me Pink" ... I will have LOTS of things to choose from to take a photo of since our house overflows with PINK these days.

could use a burst of energy ...

For the past few days, we all have been feeling pretty lousy (even poor little Becca).  Of course this would happen during my last week home from maternity leave.  Rob definitely got hit the hardest, and he doesn't deal with being sick very well.  I just deal with it and get on what needs to be done.

At least we are supposed to get great weather for the next few days (even this weekend).  I'm hosting Easter this year and it will be very quiet.  It will be just us and Mom, Dad, and Grandma.  I'm still trying to put my menu together.
