Mom and dad came out for a visit last Thursday and went back to NJ yesterday. It was the first time they had visited us since we moved to Ohio last year. We have been back to NJ, but they hadn't been here.
We had a few jam-packed fun days.
On Friday morning, mom, the kids, and I went on a tour of the Harry London Fannie May Chocolate Factory. Rob and dad stayed home to fix my car window. We have fun touring the plant; we even got to try quite a few samples, and even tried their latest item - their gelato.
On Saturday afternoon, we headed to Sluggers and Putters. We had fun playing miniature golf, playing the arcade games, and going on the bumper cars. It was Rebecca's first time going on bumper cars, and boy did she have a blast. Mom had a great time too.
On Saturday we spent the entire day school shopping, getting Rebecca's school supplies, and even getting Rebecca's haircut. She actually sat in the seat by herself.
We headed to the Great Lakes Science Center as a family on Sunday. What a great time we had. We visited all the levels of the center, show a science show outside, and even visited the Lego Adventure Exhibit. It was the perfect day.
Nicholas even built his own little Lego car.
On Monday, after the kids headed to school, I took mom and dad to the new Rocksino (casino). Dad was definitely in his glories.
We already miss mom and dad. Can't wait to see them again soon ... hopefully over one of the holidays.
