How many of you are members of Goodreads? I have been a member for quite a few years now. I love the fact that I can keep all the books I want to read in an easily accessible place, and not written in a notebook that over time will just fall apart.
I have a few hundred books on the site that I have marked as "to read." Yes, I said a few hundred, and I'm sure some of you have a lot more "to read" and "read" books than I do.
When I used to live close to a Barnes & Noble, I would go there during lunch and look through the new books. I would make a mental note in my head, or jot down on paper, books that I wanted to add to my Goodreads list. I never realized (unless it is a new feature) that I can scan the bar codes on the back of the books into my phone from my Goodreads app. SWEET!
I was at Walmart the other night with the kids and I was browsing through the book section scanning books that I may want to read. I didn't even have to read the book covers while in the store, I did that when I got home and then decided if I wanted to add them to my "to read" list.
The scanner is going to make my life so much easier when it comes to adding a book to my list. If you have a Goodreads account and don't have the Goodreads app, you need to get it on your phone. You will be so happy you did.
On another note, I wanted to share with you the last layout I created from the Sketch Solutions class that ended a few weeks ago.
A layout with Becca and Rob from January 2011.
Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy the last day of this first month of summer.
