When I opened the mailbox yesterday and saw the latest (and last) printed edition of Creating Keepsakes magazine, it was a little bittersweet for me.
My love of scrapbooking started with this magazine .... back in 1998. My friend Michelle had brought the magazine into work one day, I looked through it, and I was hooked.
This magazine has taught me so much. I've made so many friends through scrapbooking, and some of the connections were started by reading the magazine, and then following blogs of the designers.
As I understand, the magazine will still be available in digital format, but to me, it's not the same as getting this treasure full of ideas in printed format in the mail every month (or every other month). I am still thankful that there will still be special issues printed in paper format. I guess I will just have to keep my eyes open for those issues to get my fix.
The magazine also started my LOVE of following sketches, thanks to Becky Higgins.
I just want to send a shout out to anyone/everyone who has ever been a part of the magazine. Your hard work and creative ideas have kept me scrapbooking (and still LOVING it) even after all of these years.
