Nicholas' winter concert was the other night. It was extra special this year, because Nanny and Poppy were visiting and they were able to come to the concert.
The concert was for the P-K children through the fourth graders. All the grades sang three songs each, with most of them having some type of animation. The younger kids were so cute when they sang (and danced). They were so animated.
The song "Happiness" from the movie, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" was sung by one of the grades. It brought back so many memories. I remember singing the song with school friends in fourth grade for our talent show. Click on the link below to hear the song.
Nicholas informed me before the concert that he would not be singing the first song his class was singing that night. It was a Christmas "rap" song. He was right ... he just stood in place until the song was over. His second song is one of my favorite newer holiday songs, "Where are you Christmas?," which is the song from the movie "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." He did sing that one and was surprised to see his mouth moving to all the words. You can listen to it sung by Faith Hill by clicking on the link below.
His third song was a Christmas hula song. He did sing that one, but did not participate in doing the hula dance with most of the kids on stage. I don't blame him.
Here is my grown up little man before his concert.
And here he is after his concert with his little sister.
Even though Rebecca is not looking at the camera, I LOVE this photo. This is definitely one that will be printed and put in a frame.
How is your holiday planning coming along? I still have quite a few things to get, but hoping to get all that done by Friday (at least the shopping part). I still have to write out all my Christmas cards and get them in the mail.
Thanks for stopping by!
