All the Christmas decorations are put up in our house. We worked on the tree last night and will hopefully finish tonight. Rebecca was a big help with the lights this year, and I'm sure she will be just as much help with putting the ornaments on the tree. Nicholas likes to help with the ornaments too, so it should be a fun few days ahead of us.
When December 1 hits, I only listen to Christmas music in my car. I have an app that I have been LOVING (iHeartRadio) that allows me to pick from a variety of different radio stations to listen to whatever kind of music I want. This morning driving in, I found a radio station broadcasting from somewhere on the West Coast playing only holiday music. It definitely put me in a "jolly" mood this morning driving into work.
On TV, I have been LOVING this show.
What the show is about ...In every episode, a couple has to decide whether or not their current home is the right home for them, with the help of Hilary and David. To do so, they present Hilary with a list of things they would need to change in their current home, and David with a list of things that they would need in a new home. Hilary then would try to meet the couple's requirements by redesigning their current home, while David would try to achieve the same by finding them the appropriate house on sale for them.
Both Hilary and David are given a budget that they have to work with, as well as a list of demands that they must meet. David takes the homeowners on house tours, while Hilary, with the help of assistant designer Desta, renovates the couple's house. At the end of the show, the renovated spaces are shown to the couple, and then they decide if they are going to Love It and stay at their current home, or List It and buy one of the houses that David presented them.
Nicholas and I like to watch it together and try to figure out if they couple is going to stay in their house or move.
New apps I have been LOVING on my phone lately are SongPop, Bingo Rush, and Letter by Letter. If you don't have an iPhone, I believe you can also play all on Facebook. Would love to challenge you to a game.
How many of you are creating a December Daily album this year? I have created some sort of book over the past few years. This year, I wanted to go extra simple and create a mini book using tags.
And, I found great journaling prompts at Annette Harring's blog. I printed out the prompts and I had the kids randomly pick a prompt for each page in the book.
I'm doing my journaling on leftover grid cards from my Project Life kit, and stamping the date at the bottom of each card. I also have some Christmas embellishments that I will add to the pages if I feel they are needed.
I have a few blank pages that I plan on putting some pictures on that I take throughout December (probably 2x2 photos). So far, I am LOVING how simple this mini album is going to put together. Would love to see your album if you are creating one this month.
