Where did the summer go? It feels like the kids were just getting out of school. I think that Nicholas is ready to go back. He is ready to see his friends. I don't think he is ready to get back in the routine of going to bed a little earlier and getting up earlier, or even getting back into the "doing homework every night," but seeing friends he hasn't seen in awhile will be exciting.
He enjoyed the summer in the pool and playtime outside during the "not so hot days." He even got to see his best friend since pre-school, Katelin, a few times. They actually talked more than they have in awhile, because they both have Apple iPod Touches and took advantage of using facetime pretty much every day.
I'm sure Rebecca will be lonely during the days now without Nicholas home; however, we're hoping she gets back into her routine of taking early naps and gets back on a schedule. She will now be able to take advantage of daddy or mommy one-on-one time during the week.
I know I'm looking forward to the no-arguing days between the two of them on the days that I work from home. Rebecca wil have the run of the house until he gets home, so there will be no fighting over what to watch on TV, or what game to play, or anything else for that matter.
Now, as you know, I participate in the Take 12 photo challenge every month. In July, after I posted my 12-photo collage to the Ella Publishing website, they randomly picked me as their winner. My prize was a box of Bella Boulvard products .... LOVE their stuff. I especially LOVE their letter stickers.
Congratulations to this month's lucky winner, Laura T. (#4) who will receive some brand-new papers courtesy of this month's sponsor, Bella Blvd.
