Nicholas has been asking to take a trip to a local mall so that he could visit the Apple store. He loves to go in there and play around on the computers/laptops/iPads. So, I thought I would grant his wish and take him out yesterday afternoon.
We got to the mall and first went to the Apple store since that is the reason why he wanted to go to the mall in the first place. He played around on the PCs and looked at the iPads. He would do anything to get an Apple PC or laptop.
After about 20 minutes in the store it was lunch time, and we headed up to the food court. We got Wendy's ... his favorite ... crispy chicken sandwiches and fries.
After lunch, we went back to the Apple store. I asked lots of questions about pricing and different plans for the iPad, while Nicholas again played on the machines.
When we left the store, we went in a few other stores, like Pandora (I wanted to see what new charms they had), and Sephora. We then went back to the food court to get some ice cream (some very expensive ice cream, I may add ... it was more than lunch).
We then went to the Lego store.
Nicholas built this little car.
When I went to the register to pay for the pieces, the woman told me that I couldn't buy by the pieces. Nicholas got to fill a small bucket of Legos instead. He was excited about that. He has so many Legos at home already, but there were quite a few pieces that he doesn't have in his collection, so he was sure to pick up multiple pieces of those special blocks.
We had a really good afternoon together. It was nice to spend some quality time with just him. He really needed it.
