FUN - FUN - FUN ---
I had to run some errands during lunch today and in doing so, it put me in the parking lot of a jewelry making store. I decided that I needed to check it out.
The prices to make a bracelet were not bad at all, of course the prices were high for some of the beads, but most of the prices were very reasonable. I decided to give it a try ---
First they give you a tray to collect all of your beads (the kind of tray you get depends on whether you are making a bracelet or necklace); I got a tray for a bracelet. I then got to go around and look through all of the beads to determine what I wanted my bracelet to look like. I decided on greens, so there I was searching through thousands of beads looking for the look I wanted for my bracelet. After I determined what beads I wanted to use, I sat down at a table to assemble, in a line, how I wanted my bracelet to look (thank God there were many books/samples to look through to get some ideas). I laid out my beads the way I wanted it to look as a final product and then had to string them onto a wire. Once that was done, I gave it to the woman to have her put on a clasp (that part looks tricky). Now, I have a completed bracelet that I can say I designed myself. What a fun place to be --- great idea for a girlfriends night out!!!
