Nicholas belongs to this book club, so every month, he gets a new book to read, an activity book, and a project delivered right to him. This month's kit was all about music. It even came with a CD. The CD includes all the favorite kids songs (Bingo, If You're Happy and You Know It, etc.). The song "The Farmer and the Dell" is also on there.
As soon as I played the song it brought back so many great childhood memories. I remember when I attended St. James in Woodbridge (up to the third grade) and playing this game on the playground. We would all stand in a circle and sing the song and follow the instructions (the farmer picks a wife, the wife picks a child, etc.). Love those little things that trigger those great childhood memories.
Nicholas and I took a trip to the Crop Room's (scrapbook store) new location yesterday. They are located up in Hatfield, PA. The drive wasn't bad - it took about 30 minutes from Frenchtown to get there. For all my scrapbooking friends, if you get a chance - I highly recommend going to this great store. And, if you want a place to attend a crop - this is the place to go - so much space, and the chairs look so comfy. You can visit their website here.
Off to spending the rest of the day outside ---
Enjoy your weekend!
